The LIFE-AR Board meets twice a year and supports LIFE-AR in delivering its strategic objectives. It oversees implementation of the initiative, provides stewardship, accountability and leadership, and oversees financial management and governance.
This includes approval of LIFE-AR country plans for each phase of the initiative.
Transitioning to an LDC-led independent entity
LIFE-AR is in the process of transitioning from an Interim Secretariat hosted by the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), to an LDC-led independent entity. The LIFE-AR Board will continue to oversee the legal, governance and operational structure of this standalone LIFE-AR Facility.
