Mr. Joseph Epitu is an accomplished professional with over 30 years of experience in Uganda’s Water and Environment sector. A Capacity building(CB) and climate change expert, Joseph has made significant contributions to Uganda’s climate adaptation efforts, including promoting the Devolved Climate Finance(DCF) Mechanism for grassroots- level climate investments through Locally Led Adaptation (LLA) initiatives and representing Uganda in global climate negotiations as Alternate focal person team lead for the Capacity Building thematic Working Group in Uganda, that identifies and prioritizes Uganda’s negotiating position under the Paris Committee on Capacity Building (PCCB) for over 10 years. Joseph holds advanced degrees in management and human resources, blending technical expertise with strategic leadership. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to fostering collaboration between central and local government levels, donors, and non-state actors, while ensuring that Uganda’s water and environmental sector are resilient, sustainable, and capable of meeting future challenges.
